It would be nice if you could make clear copies of those instructions. I certainly would be interested in obtaining a copy of same....

Try blowing this version up, black and white and darkened made the instructions much more readable. Gary

I am installing a potters trunk ( just started on it tonight). Some of the parts I am using are rough, as none of the parts came from the same car/trunk. I am having to make the bracket that extends the spare tire carrier out as the original I have is too rough to use. It is in my opinion the most crucial part. After I get everything fitted and painted I'll post pictures as I do the final installation for future reference

Michael,

Are you going to drill the attachment holes into the back of the body like the original instructions specify?

David, sadly yes... without those two mounting points you would solely be relying on the wooden base which is nothing more than simply tacked to the trunk. I am having a hard time finding correct weatherstrip for the lid. I have the original as a sample and may just have to send it off to Steele rubber so they can try and match something to it.

Hello 35fordtn. I've seen your pic on the potter trunk and noticed your 1934 Fordor had some rear wheel coverings??? I've not seen them and can you tell me about them. I'm very interested in looking into getting a set for mine.
Kind Regards,
David W. Ahlf

Hi Michael, Just an unsolicited recommendation.I’ve always loved the look of 33-4 sedans with the Potter trunk but I also love the look of GarWood fender skirts with 34 Victoria tail light stands. Just my opinion.

To each his own; likely you fancy the DeSoto bumpers and that incredibly unsafe rear window too!

And, do I see NO hood louvers, presumably to keep the engine nice and warm?
Beautiful car.
