Montana Rendezvous
Years ago, mountain men would have a rendezvous not far from here. They would meet, swap stories and goods and agree to meet the following year.
I propose that we do the same thing in Bozeman, Montana in late July/August, 2012. Except our focus would be Model A's. We have a pasture that is very flat and would be an excellent place to park Model A's and even have a swap meet. There are several places that would be ideal for a scenic drive (Hyalite Reservoir for one). There are Model A clubs in both Missoula and Billings. I would love to hear from both. A Montana Rendezvous...sounds like a good idea to me. |

Re: Montana Rendezvous
You got my vote for this idea. Also I wonder if there are enough Model A-ers in south-west/central Montana to form a third club. (I live near Whitehall.) Distance and population are always the big issues here in Big Sky country.

Re: Montana Rendezvous
I know some "A"ers in the Missoula. Bitterroot area, and can pass this along as well. Also there is the upcoming June 14-June 19, 2012 Northwest Regional Meet here in Boise as well

Re: Montana Rendezvous
Not a bad idea Dean....Two years ago, our club from Calgary made a trip to the top of Logan Pass. We go north of the city this year, next year we are supposed to go south. Why not Bozeman. Several of us will be attendimg the Regional in Boise also next year.

Re: Montana Rendezvous
Great idea Dean. I've been wanting to get back to Montana to see relatives in Billings plus drive the A through Yellowstone and the Tetons. You're only 1300 miles from San Diego plus it's a beautiful trip.

USUALLY...we start around the 5-10 of July over here in Walla Walla County...HOWEVER this year is very strange...The wheat is still green due to the very mild spring and summer we are having. I am guessing that our wheat will not be ready to harvest for at least another good 12 days or so IF the weather stays in the 80's...NOT GOOD...should be in the upper 90's! On a normal year we would be winding up about the first week in August...but not this year. I am out of the GENUINE Walla Walla Sweet Onion market...to much paper work on workers, and a lot of damn work to do when I could be working on my Model AA Truck! Pluck |
