Default need help on door handle

ive been going through my handles to get replated
i came up with two that dont match the others(Im showing one of each size)
i dont know where they fit in the scheme of things
in the JS only one is listed
in the parts book with out a photo, i cant tell which one they are talking about
I know its part # A-46250-A and fits the 28-29 and early 30 coupes sport coupes and tudors
anyone know with proof, the differences in the two handles?
thanks
tom

Tom,

Doc Kalinka had a photo of the same handle in Model A News Vol. 48 #3 (May/June 2001).

He asked the question..."Is it Model A Ford?"

No one had answered him although he may have since discovered the answer.

His length of the short handle is 3-7/16 inches...I may have one myself in my stash.

Good talking to you tonight about "issues".

The 3 1/2" plain handle is same as mine which have been on since '29.
There were other standard plain handles used eg. standard fordors which may be what the longer one is off but I really do not know. Just about all closed A's these days end up with the repro 'deluxe' handles, even if standard models.

Any informationon about this short door handle would be most appreciated...especially if someone out there could look it up a the Ford Archives if a trip is ever made sometime.

Thanks.

Brattons catalog show 3 styles of handles and 4 finishes (chrome vs nickel). They
all use the same nuts to attach. Since I don't know a darn thing about closed
car handles and I enjoy a good mystery on the short one. Any more info or photos
of whats what....
