I can't believe all the earlier posts were made on this thread without any of them even wishing Ol' Ron a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Ron, I met you about 13 years ago at the York PA Street Rod Nationals and got an autographed copy of your book. You asked me if I ever posted on Fordbarn and at that time I had no idea what Fordbarn was about. When I got home I looked up the website and I have been here ever since. Thanks for telling me about this place. I've learned more here since then than I ever knew before about these Flatheads and the cars they powered. Thanks again and have a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Also, a big thanks to George for reminding us.

That was the beginning of a great relationship. I put togerther a coupla engines for him and he suggested I write a book about them. And that as they say is history. Over the years I've trie to make up for some of my past transgressions, by helping people and if someone wants to call, email or whatever, to tell me I'm an ass h*, so be it, I try not to judge people and sometimes I can be kinda gruff, I mean well. Like that teacher you had in school that gave you a ration of SH** every once in awhile. I do my best to help. So don't be so hard on George, he's getting old too.

Happy Birthday Ron!!

Well thanks for the prase, but it's a two way street, I learn allot too. Someone asked when the truck was going to be back on the road. Well that's a problem. I posted a week ago that the blocked in an exhaust port and when we put water in it and started the engine, water came out the exhaust like a fire hose. I have two blocks up at the machine shop getting cleaned and Magged, waiting for the results.
Yes I like to drive Walt's Model A, but his daughter races me with here Lawn Mower.
However the 294 will be fired up pretty soon

I sent a de-stroker assembly to Germany a few years back. Wonder how it made out? If they got it running,

If the George, Ron is talking about is, George Perry from up the street in VT, he has great respect for Ron. I see George at Hershey every year. This year I was fortunate enough to able to buy Ron's H&C ignition George had for sale for him. You heard it from Ron, he is fine with George's effort to honor his friend. Reminds me of, do you know how to spell assume, ass-out-of-you-and-me.

Hey Ron

Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us that are keeping the flatheads running. We all need to follow your lead and pass this knowledge to the next generation of flathead builders and drivers. Have a great birthday - you earned it.
