I too think it was a Google search which lead to the old/previous board. It was quite a while ago, but, can't remember how many years for sure.
This has been a great place.

I was on it since it was Shelly's old Fordbarn. Also participate on the Ahooga site. Both are very informative and Ahooga has a live chat.

Found two forums (forae?) at the same time. But the other one had --and still has, as evidenced by a recent visit-- so many rude, arrogant, racist fools on it I dropped out. Ryan has done a good job of keeping those types at bay. Shelly was not as diligent toward the end of her tenure, and I dropped this one too for a while because of the racist comments from the same horse's a** who was so offensive on the other site. He was soon banned here when Ryan took over. That's why I chose this one, but I stay for all the great information, experience, and courtesy I find here every day.

I started on Shelly's site. I think I was Greg from the Great Lakes, but all those words wouldn't fit here, hence my current title.

Probably through a web search for Model A Info.

Just wish I had found (and read) all this great information BEFORE I bought my roadster.

However, with reading through all the various problems/solutions (almost on a daily basis), I have managed to rectify most of the small problems I've come across over the last couple of years.

I don't post much (not informed enough to help), and don't ask many questions (most are already answered somewhere on the board). Like I said - just read all new postings several times a week.

I think that we saw mention of the old ford barn in one of the national magazines. I think that I've looked at it since 2000 when we got our first computor. I left it and the other forum for similiar reasons that my friend Ray Horton mentions above. The new management has made a far better place of this site and its good not to have to read the political bull $hit or put up with the worse of the bullies now since Ryan has took over !!!

How did anyone find anything before Google? I was doing lots of searches for "Model A" before I bought my car and this looked to be the best put together of any of the Model A forums.

I was told by one of the members of our Model A Club, a member who I respect and knows so much about Model A's. He told me " If you need to find an answer you can not find anywhere else, visit Ford Barn"

Google search for anything "Model A Ford".

Wish I had been here BEFORE I bought my Model A Pickup.

It's been a very valuable source of information for the last 4 years.

A friend who collects classic cars told me about it. I owe him a large debt of gratitude. The people here have taught me a great deal about the care and feeding of my Model A's.

From the H.A.M.B.

My Sport Coupe was a bit of a hybrid before I got it, (juice brakes etc), so dependent on which part of the car I need info on I pick my forum. Both are great, but different, props to Ryan on both counts!
