1932 and 1934 truck front fender differences
This may be a dumb question to some, if so, just ignore it.
But.. has anyone ever tried to use a 1933-34 pickup truck front fender on a 32 Ford? I know they are different wheelbases but I am curious if anyone has ever modified the later fenders for use on the 32 and if so, what was cut/modified and where. Inquiring minds want to know..

Re: 1932 and 1934 truck front fender differences
It is a total screw up to try to make the change. The holes are all in different places and the tail is too long. The biggest problem is the flange that goes to the frame top is curved on the later fenders and straight on the 32. I tried it and it was impossible to measure anything.

To begin with the 32 frame is totally different than a 33-34 frame.

Does anybody have a picture or two that shows the differences? I think this is any excellent question, from the standpoint that when you come across a steel fender at a swap meet or whatever, how do you tell whether it is a 32, or a 33-34? What are the best visual cues?

I am aware that they are totally different but I was wondering if anyone has ever done the cutting and modifying to try to make them fit. I knew the tail was longer but Andys response that the curvature was different pretty much answers it for me. Thanks. I guess its not worth the work involved.

Look where the front crossmember meets the fender and you will see a bump on the 33-34 fenders that the 32 does not have. It is for clearance of the rivet heads.
