Re: EFV-8C/A 2014 EASTERN NATIONAL MEET Early Registration
The best day to see all/most of the cars would be Wednesday during the concourse judging. Unfortunatly, for those just wanting to come and see the cars, many folks keep there cars in enclosed trailers and just get them out for the concourse, then immediately drive them back into their trailers.

Re: EFV-8C/A 2014 EASTERN NATIONAL MEET Early Registration
John or Jeff.....Do you know if the hotels are furnishing a free breakfast for this meet? Often times the larger hotels don't include a breakfast with registration. I was spoiled in Auburn!
Warm Regards, Pat |

Thanks John....I checked their website (Marriot) and there was no mention of a breakfast....no mention of a dining room even!
I don't eat much anymore...but I need to eat often . Looking forward to seeing you! Regards, Pat |

No free breakfast but there are restaurants in and out of the hotel. Not far to other places.

Re: EFV-8C/A 2014 EASTERN NATIONAL MEET Early Registration
Hello Everyone, Just back from Gettysburg doing some setup work.
The host hotel does not have a 'breakfast nook' with cereal and juice. There is a gift shop with coffee and I think pastries for sale, along with newspapers. Two cups of coffee was a biscuit over $5 when I was up there two weeks ago. Now that I think about it, the one next door did seem to have a breakfast area when I walked through there, again a couple of weeks ago. Hmmm. The in-hotel restaurant is called 1863, and looks like white table-cloth service. Here's the breakfast menu from their website. http://www.wyndham.com/us-en/propert...kfast_Menu.pdf For everyone coming to town, here's a link to the official visitors site: http://www.destinationgettysburg.com/

I'm also not registered but I plan on dropping by on Wednesday. After almost 5 years of rebuilding, I drove my 49 Coupe around the block yesterday for the first time out of the garage. Now waiting on PA to approve my 1949 PA plates and registration. Bob

Hi Jim, You're referring to Appalachian Brewing Company. I've been good and tended to business on my four trips to the site. I'm pretty sure I'll get a look inside in the next several hours. Here's their website:
http://www.abcbrew.com/brewpubs/gettysburg-gateway/ [edit, I had the wrong location originally] Looks like they open at 11:30.

Look like it will be great show. I wish I could make but it is hard to get off of work during the week to go to show. Maybe one day I will make it.

Re: EFV-8C/A 2014 EASTERN NATIONAL MEET Early Registration
Hi Everyone! 36ford, your photo #3 shows Pete and Donna's '37 Sedan Delivery a very rare car that they've had forever, here's a shot of the layers or registration stickers on his license plate, from the Maine tour in '12. I just love this car and the license plate does me in!
Some other shots that I got from the tours today. I was a greeter at Al Prueitt's shop. They do Pebble Beach type restoration work. http://www.alprueittandsons.com/ At one point in the morning I had 3 Mercs in the lot. There was a FORDBARN pen in the registration package. I got this photo and then I seem to have lost the pen! <edit FOUND IT> The last five shots were at another restoration shop, Vintage Specialties in Gettysburg: http://www.vintagespecialties.net/

Re: EFV-8C/A 2014 EASTERN NATIONAL MEET Early Registration
I was hoping there would be at least one 35-39 Sedan Delivery!
That '37 looks like a nice one!

Zach, the show field on Wednesday will be on the movie theater parking lot and not behind the Wyndham hotel as I had mistakenly told you earlier in a pm.

The weather man just said we're in for a lot of rain Wednesday. Say it ain't so! Bob So far it looks like the weather man is wrong again. Beautiful blue sky as I get ready to leave for Gettysburg.
