Default RIP John Phillips Model A Garage

I received a call Saturday and heard that John Phillips who ran a restoration shop in Luray, VA passed away earlier this month. Condolences to Susan and the family.

I hope the site stays up. It provided a Google-indexed copy of the service bulletins, as well as other basic information. I was surprised it never got hit with a copyright claim, but glad it didn't.

Very sorry you heard it from me. When I left you that VM, I wasn't even thinking. Should have waited and called when you could answer in person. I'm sorry about that.

Paul, it definitely is not viewed as any type of problem on my part. Actually, the person you referred was the 2nd person I heard it from and both have called me since each are in a similar situation with their vehicles. As I understand it, Jon Phillips' shop has over 20 projects that his customers are needing to come retrieve. Apparently there are some very panicked people. Any way any of can help them would definitely be a huge help for the hobby. I am struggling trying to find laborers and a fork lift to move/load stuff because as I understand it, items are being stored in the separate buildings a few miles apart from each other.

Brent I heard he passed away from a Florida guy who was going to take his up to him. Good thing he hadn’t yet. We all being small shops hinge on “us” in experience and labor.
And the good Lord calls us home on our day. At 63 Hoping he has some plans for me to keep going for a number of years. I jut had my first reproduction right hip installed as you know and am back on the mend and looking forward to moving much better this year. Like our cars, incredible that we and they can be restored/rebuilt, made new after all the years use and abuse !
