Default oil pump in 59ab

How do i tell if i have a 50# or 80# oil pump. And is there any thing special to do to the relief spring ,everything looks good and gears or not worn and bushing is tight on shaft. Dp

Does the pump have helical (twisted) gears, or straight teeth? The 80lb. pump has "twisted" gears.

It probably won't hurt anything to put 1/16 shim behind the spring of the relief valve.

I have straight gears about 1/1/2 long must have a 50# ok on the shim dp
