Re: Watch Ford's Quadra Cycle Go
That is absolutely amazing.....first for its quality as a replica.
Now imagine it in the context of the day.......an "infernal contraption" "terrorizing the byways" of 1896. What a fantastic piece of work - then and now!

Re: Watch Ford's Quadra Cycle Go
Was there no need to cool that engine? I didn't see anything to facilitate that.

Re: Watch Ford's Quadra Cycle Go
Looks to me like the cooling worked on the same principle as the Model T. Look at the copper tubing coming out the top of the cylinders to the copper tank under the seat and the copper pipes coming back under the cylinders. No water pump needed, used the thermal syphon (spelling) principle.

Re: Watch Ford's Quadra Cycle Go
That's neat-----exactly what I need to cruise the neghborhood with. That would also be good competition with my neighbor's single horse surry.
Sigh, another "bucket" item! |
