Default Fuel line to firewall clamp question

I was looking through my original fuel line to firewall clamps today and noticed some of them had two dimples and some did not. Just wondering if either clamp is specific to a particular year model or was it just a difference in the manufacturer.

I did a search on eBay and there is one of each for sale currently. Thoughts???

I just looked at mine and it has the two dimples. I would think a Knock off part would skip this detail but I don't profess to know...just my two cents.

Starting with the '32s and at least through the '39s, the firewalls had indentations to capture those dimples on the clamps on the lower left side when used with a LHD V-8 fuel line coming from a rear-mounted fuel tank. The indentations book-ended the hole in the firewall where a slotted head screw secured the clamp to the firewall (as in the '33-'34 firewall photo below).

On RHD V-8s and LHD V-8 commercial vehicles and trucks with cab-mounted fuel tanks, the fuel line was routed on the right side of the chassis such as shown in the photo of a RHD '32 V-8 passenger car's firewall. I believe that in those instances the clamp for the fuel line on the firewall did not have the two dimples as there were no indentations to engage them.

David: Exactly what year is the firewall pictured above, 33 or 34? I have been looking for a photo like yours that shows the lower legs for a 34. I am not sure if the 33 would have the same exact legs as the 34.
