'30CCPU,
I have been thinking on this for a while, the bed was taken completely apart and sand blasted, the first rivets ordered had truss heads and just did not look right , found the correct round head rivets at McMaster.
Ordered 1/4" X 1/2" and 3/4".
Ordered 2 air hammer setting tools, welded some 1/2" threaded rod on one and took the sliding weight off of my slide hammer and put the threaded rod piece through the hole and added a nut, made a great bucking bar.
started with the 1/2" long rivets and the shaped head just did not look right.Switched to the 3/4" and they worked great, two of us did the whole bed in just under a hour and a half. Looks great.
A big relief ;]
