Need .874 reamer
I'm rebuilding my clutch and brake pedals and need a .874 reamer to use or rent or buy cheap ( this will be the only time I'll use it ). Thanks to all, Dennis/CT

I always felt that buying the right tools for the job was part of the joy of this hobby.

Re: Need .874 reamer
Have you considered just using a brake hone. Most of these do not require much to be taken out. I have found a brake hone and a couple of minutes you are done. Rod

Re: Need .874 reamer
Guesse I had better mention with this method. If you drilled for a grease fitting, make sure to deburr the hole or you will brake the stones. Been there, done that. Rod

Re: Need .874 reamer
Have you pressed them in yet?
Rarely, but occassionally, bushings are an exact fit after they're installed. Not sure if this was an engineered feature or a reproduction mistake with a happy ending ... but I seem to recall this occuring when I replaced mine ....or maybe it was the clutch fork bushings in the bellhousing? Either way, check em first. |

Re: Need .874 reamer
When I did mine this year they were a good fit without the need for fitting them.

Re: Need .874 reamer
I did the bushings in my steering box with Brattons stuff and everything fit perfect.
