Steering center
I may have asked this before! I am changing my 29 coupe over to three tooth steering. I have everything but the steering wheel the spline one I have is in good shape. So I am going to change the center part. I have the rivets but think they are to long does anyone know how much rivet should be sticking out in order to get a good round head. Has any body done this before? Richard?Ca

Re: Steering center
Richard, If I read you right, Your are changing the wheels center hub to accomodate the new shaft? Never tried it but if you have enough rivets you could experiment on something of similar thickness. Start with the rivet cut say, 1 1/2 times its diameter and see if it makes a round head. PS are you doing this cold or hot riveting?
