Default meaning---WTB

I know I'm not very bright but can somebody tell me what WTB means. It's used a lot on the wanted and sell section. Don't laugh at me now. Walt

Okay, since some of you are really tuned in to this stuff, where the hell did the use of "OG" come to mean "original". I get "OE" is "original equipment" and OEM is "original equipment manufacturer", but can't get that OG thing.

And as an aside the term "solid" in an ad is about as meaningless a descriptive term as there is. But I digress.........

I worked Boeing Military most of my life, acronyms were a way of life, everything was an acronym. It was interesting when you use them all day everyday and then talk to someone less familiar with them and they think you are talking a foreign language.

Walt, thanks for having the courage rather than the embarrasment to ask the question. You don't learn if you don't ask. I was on another website the other day VW as I have various auto interest, and someone wrote idk? and of course like you there I was, although I am pretty astute on these abbreviations or acronyms I had no clue, so I asked. Just like wtb=want to buy, idk= I don't know live and learn had to laugh at myself, I just hope that if I use it in the future someone else hasn't used it in their minds/brain that means something else. lol

Many years ago I went to work for a local tire company. Part of their business was recapping tires (you remember those, don't you?). One day I was in the casing inspection room. I watched the two guys dutifully looking over each casing very carefully. Fairly regularly they would write NFG on the sidewall of a casing and throw it in a different pile. I had other things to do so I went about my business. A couple of days later I happened upon the two inspectors while on break. I asked them the meaning of NFG. They laughed and said those were the rejects and told me what NFG stood for. I chuckled about that for a long time and have used the term ever since.
