Nice looker from a distance. Huge heater
I would worry about those heavy load springs and the add-on spring set it has. I would look more at the frame for stress damage. you may need to find another frame.
Maybe the motor has hauled those heavy loads too long as well. Look at the paint and previous owners repair work. I would expect lots of work to do. But I have a 39 pickup and they are fun to drive and garner lots of look-sees.

Unless you do the work yourself that is going to be an expensive restoration. Have you thought about just buying something already done? Might be cheaper in the long run.

But, to answer your question, I say $2500.
No, I take that back. I would not buy it, because it's just not (and probably never will be) worth the expense of restoring it.
That truck has been badly abused. Save your $$$ and buy something in better condition.

Not worth 8 for sure. With the frame rusted that bad, there is bound to be a lot of bondo in the cab and bed.

I paid 8 for my 39 pickup and it needed a lot of body work. You didn't show the front, does it have the center grille moulding? You didn't show the engine either, is it the correct one? You also didn't show the inside of the bed, does it have the correct metal bottom? The frame pieces are available for replacement, can you do that yourself or do you need to hire that out?

I put an additional 12 in mine and am slightly under water with it and I did all of the work on the truck myself except plating the bumpers.

Hope this gives yuo some idea of what is in store for you.

Bill has given you a real good response to think on, IMO, and experience !
Question; In the picture of the rear end....looks ODD ! Check if frame bent or what is making it lean over to left If frame is in a rusted out condition, you are paying 8K for what then ..ask yourself this Q.

Even if you get it for say 3K, before buying, start adding up costs of each major item, i.e. = frame replace/whatever; engine rebuild and on/on. You WILL soon see what Bill and others are trying to tell you. Let us know,eh !

Frames aren't that expensive.

Before I'd pass it off, I'd go over it with a magnet, checking for filler, look closely for poor patch jobs(rockers, corners, fenders etc.) Check the door bottoms...be thorough.

Now, my neighbor has a pretty solid '37 PU-less engine-you could get for a whole lot less, but I'm in Ca., unsure where you're located at?

Strange someone would go through all the trouble of painting it with so many major mechanical and frame issues. In the frame shot showing the running boards, the running boards are pitted really bad underneath.

$8,000? She has got to be kidding. That truck, as has been advised, is closer to worthless than $8k. Maybe, I repeat, maybe, a decent parts truck. Looking at the photos though - it appears there are few parts worth much of anything.
Keep looking... there are a number of trucks out there for sale in a LOT better shape than this one.
