Default Now Here is an Antique Ford for You!

My friends in Iola Kansas have a Model F for sale. Thought you guys with the Model T "modern" iron would find this interesting.

Pretty interesting car, I wonder how much of it is genuine? Anyone know the history/story behind the Model F?

I would like it better, being unrestored, with the original body, etc., back on it. It should be mechanically restored, of course.

if that is "realy" an unrestored car .. which is highly unlikely... LEAVE IT LIKE IT IS >>> its worth more as is

The Model F was the predecessor to the Model N. 1,000 units were produced. It is a very rare car. I agree that the original body should go back on after a thorough mechanical restoration. By the way I have no business affiliation with the guys selling it, other than they get my money once in a while for either a Model T or Model A part.

Years ago we packed up an entire Model K that was in pieces and shipped it to Australia. What an education. You can see the development of the T in those early K parts. Lots of weird parts but you could still see the Ford family resemblance in most of it.

That wouldn't have happened to been bought at an auction in Frederick, MD would it? There were to early fords in The brandenburg sale, both in pieces and I believe they both went to australia. I haveto look up the years and model of them.

I don't recall where the car had come from. It was a 95% plus complete car all in subassembled chunks. Body intact, axles intact, engine all together, etc. We broke it down a bit more and crated it and sent it down under. Friend and I traded several early cars and parts back and forth to the same guy down there. This was in the early 80's. I still have some pictures of the K somewhere.

Here is the K after it was restored. Somewhere I have pictures of it in pieces but I haven't found them yet.
