Smile Questions on painting the molding and reveals on 1932 B

I need some help with applying the paint on the body of a 1932 Model B. My car is being painted with Washington blue with Tacoma cream wheels and pin strips. 1: Is the molding painted black to the creases on each side? 2. In David Rehor’s The Ford Book, he refers to the reveal being painted black as well … was that done only prior to April. My car I believe was made in April. If the reveals are painted black, are they painted one quarter inch beyond the crease on each side? I am having difficulty visualizing how this is painted. Thank You for any insights!

DavidG is going to have to answer this regarding dates. I don't believe the paint goes beyond the crease line but David will know for sure.

As noted on page 12-2, the '32 Washington blue main body color/black belt moldings color combination did not initially include molding color paint on the reveals surrounding the window openings in the doors and quarter panels, unlike some of the other color combinations.

So, all you need to paint black are the upper and lower moldings on the body plus the drip rail above the windows and in each case the parting lines are the largely-horizontal creases where the moldings begin and end. It is easy to overlook the drip rails as they aren't obvious candidates for the same color as the belt moldings.

David, just want to clarify what you mean by upper and lower moldings. I assume you are referring to the main belt molding around the center of the body which loops over the hood and up along the back window. Is there another molding?

The upper molding is the one that you refer to. The lower molding runs along the bottom edge of the body and hood side panels; beneath the door it is often referred to as the rocker panel.
