That was also one of my favorites at the meet. Those original survivors are special.

I had a really good time at the Springfield CNM. It was great to meet up with other Fordbarners there and also all the V8er's I met there or knew from previous meets and tours. It was also great getting to meet three of the Canadian V8er's. (Dale, Phil and Grant).
Got back home today at ~ 4:15 pm. Total mileage on the '35 fordor was 1,947 miles. About 1,700 miles out and back, + 247 miles on tours and driving around Springfield. The old Ford purred like a kitten the whole way. Many thanks to Carolyn and Ken Bounds, plus all the members of their RG group. WELL DONE!!

A few pictures taken at the Route 66 Museum and a 55 crown vic for sale in the swap meet area. The last few pictures were taken at a V8 Club members garage during the Route 66 Tour. Notice the Sportsman, old Lincoln, and Indian motorcycle, all either being or to be restored. A really great day of touring!!

This car participated in the Route 66 Tour.

I could not get enough of this car. My favorite at the meet.

It is interesting that there were as many Rouge cars as Concourse and Dearborn Emeritus cars at the meet. It seems that more guys are leaving them original these days.
