Let us know if you get in contact with him. I haven't talked to him in 10 years now!

Bob was very kind and helpful to me when I first came to the hobby. I also haven't spoken to him in years. I hope he is alright.

2 years ago a friend stopped to see Bob, at that time he was starting to loose some of his mental abilities. He has family nearby, you might go to the white pages and find them? I'm hoping for the best, Bob was a great guy!

I hate to report this but I happened to get a call yesterday from a guy that lives in Albuquerque so I asked him about Bob. He has heard that Bob is in a home suffering from Alzheimers.

Hello,

I am John Rentz, nephew of Bob Rentz. I'm sorry to inform you that indeed, Bob had Alzheimer's for several years. I'm also sorry to report that Bob passed away on Jan. 2, 2014.

I do not have any of the knowledge that Bob had but if I can be of any help, I will try.

That's sad to hear of his passing.

Very sorry, my condolences to you John. My wife and I last saw him when we stopped in on our way through to California in 2009. He was a great guy, a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm that he freely shared. He drove his red roadster all across North America.
