Default RHD advance/retard control rods

I have a RHD Model, I am trying to find the control rod that controls the advance/retard from the bottom of the steering column to the pivot point on the manifold. Anyone have any idea. Thanks

I think it's just the short throttle rod like if it were a left hand drive. Just the short rod from the column that goes over to the foot throttle assembly.

Tom, what you want is 5 and a half inches from ball to ball. It's slighty shorter than the short rod on the LHD that Logan mentions. I don't know of a source ( let me know if you do find someone making them!) ; suggest a DIY modification if you can't find one.

My suggestion would be to just put a slight bend or arc in the rod to shorten it. or the vendors sell what i think is a copper sleeve that has to screw threaded on each it. It allows you to cut your rods, then adjust in or out how far you would need. I always just cut mine, use this sleeve to get a precise adjustment, and then i will lock it in place with the set screws. And then i jb weld the ends of it, so that i know the adjustment wont come undone.

Yes , I've used brass connectors from an electrical connector strip in the past.

When set with the correct geometry, there is no need to bend or tweak the rods. If you look down on the bell crank from the firewall, the arm that connects to the rod from column should be at 10:30 and the arm that connects to the rod that goes to the dizzy should be around 01:30. The short arm connects to the column rod, anf the long arm connects to the dizzy rod. The rods will almost touch, but when you pull down to advance the timing, they get further apart.

On my Dad's AA and the Cabriolet, both rods are approx 6" long

On our Phaeton, he used what he could find, which are about 5.5" long. They work through the full range of movement, but don't look right....
