That Parker's Garage was in the Village of Put In Bay on South Bass Island in Lake Erie and North of Port Clinton, Ohio and Southeast of Detroit, Michigan. The garage has fallen way to other buildings, but the memories live on. There are A's and T's on the island.

Re: Model A's on ice.
Speaking of "Model A's on Ice," I believe that the two Model "A" "Super Snow Birds" taken on Admiral Byrd's second expedition were left in Antarctica.

Re: Model A's on ice.
Interesting to me that there is no talk of Chev, or other makes.
When I was in high school '54-'57, the As were the most numerous of the old cars that would start and run in winter weather. Admittedly not on Lake Erie, but a bit farther north in Lockport, NY. [By that time, there were a couple of Chevs and not much else of the '28-'31 vintage left running on the streets, even in clear weather.] Thanks for the post! Regards, Dyson |
