Default Electrical plugs

I've been looking for a plug for the backup light socket on a ford F-150 PU trans. Went through Google but no luck. must be somebody that sells these kind of things. Might need one for the hi/low sw on my GM column. Any ideas???

Your local Ford dealer can get it for you. You can also go to the motorcraft.com site and look it up. Put in what the trans came from and use 14S411 as the part number and it should show you a ton of pigtails. Only thing is they're not cheap!

X2 what Barry said. You should be able to go to a Ford dealer & look at an illistrated view of all the connectors offered. And yes, they are not cheap.

My Ford dealer is useless, if it;s more than 5 years old he can't get it, doesn't want to be bothered. However thanks for the info, I will check it out, As for Junk yards, with the price of scrap as hi as it is. There are no pre 90's cars left there and they'll be gone soon. Most yards don't keep a car for more the 10 years now.

Yep, that's the part, same part used 1978 thru 2003, but the prices are a little high. It is $5.82 on RockAuto and around $12 on E-bay and Amazon with free shipping. Airtex part number is 1P146.

Looks like the Airtex number should be 1P1246.

Just an observation on my part. I have found Rock Auto to be the easiest and best place to find stuff like this, and usually the cheapest as well. Sorry to sound like a commercial.

We use Rock Auto frequently. They are now owned by O'Reilly, but price and service is still OK. We just bought a "combination" headlight assembly for a third of dealer price.
