The name of the book, ( Old Hot Rods Scrapbook, By Don Montgomery) Probably some of you old timers have hears of him. It's a hard cover book with 200 pages of hot rods of the 40-50 and all kinds of story. My boy ran into this on the PC. He called the no. and thay said they was all out of books but you might call Don Montgomery. This Don is 80 years old, my boy told him about me and he was real interisted, said he had a few those book and wanted to know if he wanted it auotgrafted, my boy told him what to say, To Walter Dupont flatheadking, A look back to the days when the flathead was king Don Montgomery 12-19-12 This book is really great. That's a great book. I've had it for a number of years and look at it continually.

Howdy Walter,
I hope you might allow a relatively new kid into old Ford V-8 enjoy your new book,
So long as I clean my hands really well... Now normally dark with oil stains and badly
cracked finger tips, nicks and dings that bleed in the cold, the normal hands of a old
motor nut starting a new project.... looking forward to seeing you and your shop.

Don Montgomery, "Rockerhead" posts occasionally on the H.A.M.B. If you ever make it to the L.A. Roadster Show he usually has a booth set up with some of his books. Prince of a guy.

Walt,
Nice gift for a nice guy. When you retire you should think about writing a book on your automotive adventures. Would be a best seller.

The ONLY reason Walt should retire would be to take time to write HIS book!

I buy Don's books direct from him (he has quite a few). He always likes to ask what a person is up to and how their projects are coming. He is a first rate guy and always a pleasure to converse with.

It's so hard to find a gift for those of us that have so much "stuff". Takes a caring person who can come up with such a thoughtful gift. Enjoy the book Walt.
