Default Zenith 2 carb

My Zenith 2 carb is leaking gas from the main bolt. It's not huge, but a constant drip. The float is correct and there is no gas leaking from intake.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks, Keebs

I have found a crack in the casting between the fuel bowl and the center bolt hole. You may need a replacement bottom casting. I have several.

Keebs, my Zenith was dripping underneath and had internal issues. Turned out, there is a 1/16" hole in the bottom of the intake / air horn that allows fuel to run to lowest points and drip off the drain plug and the main bolt area. Some over tighten the drain plug until it strips the threads. Luckily, I read about the tiny hole here on the forum and didn't make that mistake. In my case, the jets were leaking at their bases inside the intake.

Bob, Thanks for this illustration of float, gas levels and the heights of the jets. It's a great dwg. that really shows exactly what's going on and how leaks occur.

mine was leaking because float valve was not holding and it appeared to be leaking around the bolt on the bottom but it doesn't have any gas in its hole to leak. mine was coming from overflow hole in the motor side of the carburetor witch is about 1/8 th inch one the backside.

I suspect the fuel is coming out of the little drain hole at the bottom of the bottom casting and running back and dripping off the bolt. Stick your finger in through the air intake below the choke and see if it is wet with fuel on the bottom. If so, it is coming from the float valve not holding or not set correctly.
