Not sure what it is. This was listed previously and only reached a bid of $127.50 and did not hit the reserve.

I disagree with the description...if it were a down draft intake wouldn't the letters be upside down.

Looks like a Scalded Dog repro dual updraft that hasn't been finish-machined.

Intake for a RILEY 2Port overhead conversion, an unfinished reproduction. Bob

Here is what the finished version looks in up draft and down draft.

Look at the carburetor flanges, they can be machined for 2 bolt Model A or B carbs, 3 bolt Stromberg, or 4 bolt Winfield, or Riley carbs. There are down, side and updraft of those last two. Granted, the logo would be upside down but it could easily be machined off. Charlie Yapp always uses a lower case letter i on his repro Riley stuff, I doubt the name is still copy protected, maybe he just does that out of respect.

Not sure but it could be an original for Riley updraft carburetors. The carb mounting flanges are not shown.

Not sure if I follow the discussion on how this manifold can be machined to mount carburetors. From what I see it looks like you need to fabricate adapters to the three ports ie close one and add two adapters for the carb you want to mount.

I was referring to the manifold in 160B's post, not the eBay one.

I didn't know Riley made up draft carburetors but I do believe that is basically a C Yapp design

I really don't know. I always meant to buy the George Riley book but haven't yet . For some reason I thought that George made a high performance up draft carburetor, I may be wrong .

I have to find my copy of the book, I think all his carbs were side draft. One year every car in the INDY 500 ran his carbs. Bob

There is a picture and an old ad for the Riley two port head on page 101 of those wonderful unauthorized accessories for the model A Ford book that shows the Riley two port head mounted to a model A engine with updraft manifold with a strange updraft carb. The ad says complete with carburetor $137.50 F.O.B. factory . I just assumed that the carburetor was also made by Riley but don't know for sure. It looks complicated to me . If I had a Riley two port head , I would probably want to run dual updraft B carbs .
