Default Swap meet @ the "Big E"

Anyone ever been to the swapmeet at the Big e in West Springfield Mass?
Apparently its been going on for 35 years and was "nationally recognized as one of the best by Hemmings Motor News". It is on Jan 19th and 20th.Might be fun to break up the winter

Happy New Year
Bill

Nice to go but you don't need a lot of $$$ for old parts they just aren't there.
A lot of off shore tools and the such.
Not to say that you won't find that one part you are looking for but you will have to look hard. JMHO

Might be nice to go to if it's the first time.
Lot's of race car/Mustang/Camero/Chinese tools/etc.etc.
Went last year after a several year respite (because I had free passes)
After paying for parking (which used to be free) I found it to be a waste of time.
But you never know, you might run across that part you're not really looking for

Thanks for the responses,I thought that this would be what I would hear. And yes it would be my first time going.So....I might go just to say that I've been and get out of the shop for the day.You never know I might find one of those miracle "as seen on tv items" that I just can't live without.

Think I'll watch some paint dry that day instead. Will save $50 on gas, $20 on food, $15 admission and the usual disappointment for the ride home. Ebay and poor vendor choice ruined this meet. It WAS something to do on a cold winter day, but that was 20 years ago. Take Bruce's advice and be good to your woman, that will be priceless.

its a nice walk , sometimes there s a pretty woman to admire , maybe a treasure is found , but theres a lot of worn out race car parts , some vacume cleaners , a couple of ford reproduction parts vendors , and some kit cars , not a bad way to kill the day though if you have the junkyard withdrawels
