I have two of them and love them. Now, I wonder how much someone is willing to spend? I would never give up mine.

interesting.
this is the first Brumfield head I've ever seen for sale by someone other than the manufacturer.
generally nobody wants to let them go.
should be interesting to see where the bidding goes since Larry is not currently producing any new ones.....

Yep, so is a grenade in the wrong hands!! 7:1 CR can be a friend or foe depending on how it will be driven. So what do you think the head will bring?

I replaced the 5.9 with a 7.1 and the performance is awesome. I'll bet it goes for north of $300.

Seller has most of the top end for sale, makes me wonder what happened to the bottom end. Or rather, how many piece it may be in.

I still have a deposit check at Brumfields, waiting for my head. I am thinking that I may never see it.

Is any mark on the head to tell whether it's a 5.9 or 7.1?

I have a 5.9 & love it.The e-bay head is likely a 7 to 1 head due to the recessed SP holes.

When we bought our sedan it had an aluminum 7:1 head on it and we think the guy who owned it before ran it pretty hard. We got about 1K miles out off it before the engine quit and when we tore it apart all 4 rod journals had a small crack in them. Brent said it perfectly, "so is a grenade in the wrong hands!"
