1932 ford two door sedan body
City:
huntington beach
State:
calif
Price:
12,500
I have a very nice and straight 32 two door body complete. It is a very rare model with a factory solid roof from the factory. The body came from Waldens Speed shop were they looked it over and said yes it came that way stock. It has been acid dip and coated so it will not rust You can now see what you are getting. Never been hit anywere and very straight. There is alittle rust here and there but a very nice body. It comes with all the regulators , garnish moldings door tins ect. It also has all four fenders. Rears are nice fronts need work. All the inside wood has beer removed and sanded and refinished ready to go back in. This took us quite a while to fine a body this good and was going to be a high end build but life has taken a turn and we wont be able to follow thru with the build. Priced at what we are into it and ready to sell. Please give me a call at 1 949 842 2255 or email at [email protected] for any questions. Thanks Danny Deacon New Price. $11,000 This is a really good deal with all the parts that come with it. Thanks

Re: 1932 ford two door sedan body
Hello Just for your information NONE of the closed 32 nody styles had closed roofs. This includes 2dr (yours) 4dr, victoria, 5w,& 3w coupes. in fact It was 1935 before FORD had full roofs. Your car had the roof filled sometime durring its life, as there were no solid roof sedans made in `1932 Yours is a nice clean body. Good luck with your auction. Pete

True that! They didn't have the technology to die stamp the bodies like today. They were made in two sides and joined at the rear window and windshield/cowl section. An open cloth roof was easier than leading a roof panel that would "oilcan" and vibrate.

Re: 1932 ford two door sedan body
I have seen 2 ,32 Fords imported from Uruguay with factory(Ford SA?) filled roofs. One was a 4dr and the other was a 5W.All RHD.The 4dr was except for paint an untouched original w/original interior and even the correct 32V8 engine in it.Since the 5W did not have the uph one could see what appeared to be jig welded all around the seam. The other 4dr in the load was an original dlx 4cyl 4dr non filled roof but had the original leather interior. That tudor body could have quite possibly come from South America.

Re: 1932 ford two door sedan body
You guys can say what ever you want and think. This body has never had a soft top so it has never been filled. Im sorry but you are not a better metal men then Bobby Walden of Waldens speedshop. The body was bought from him, inspected by him and comfirmed by him to be a FACTORY SOLID ROOF. The car came from South America and is why im guessing it came that way.... Not to be a dick but you guys dont know everything there is to know about every 32 ever built... Thanks for your time....

Re: 1932 ford two door sedan body
Local guy has owned a 33 3window coupe for many years that has a factory solid roof. No signs of it ever being filled. It to was probably an export body???

We need to get this add over to the forum. I would like to know more about the SA Deuces. If they produced them with solid tops why have we not seen more of them. The English Deuces pop up and the later open cars from Argentina are shipped up here regularly.

Re: 1932 ford two door sedan body
I owned a 4dr body that came from Argentina that had a solid top. when you looked closely you could see a hint of where it was welded in. I don't think they had the technology to stamp it out in one piece.

Re: 1932 ford two door sedan body
DeuceVW is correct. See Ford book from the V8 club (Dave Rehor) and read about the filled top. Now we need to add this body to the thread about the no reveal deuce frame and we can really use up some space.
As stated, if Bobby Walden said it was factory that is the gospel in my mind. My 2 cents. |

Re: 1932 ford two door sedan body
Did you notice the "keyhole" is on the drivers side door(opposite), and the hole for the windshield wiper is opposite(passenger side)? Must be from down under~
