Default 39 ford

I just had my 39 ford motor rebuilt I have put on about 900 miles and I notice one of the heads are leaking a little water is that common after a re build thanks

Is it from a head stud ? have you re torqued the heads ,May need a block sealer ,Ted

What Ted said, re-torque the heads and if that doesn't get it, block sealer.

And, if it's coming from a head stud, most likely it will heal itself. Those are harmless. I think Walt or Ol'Ron said they have a part #.

I had the same experience with my rebuilt 69A. I panicked at first--then I read the relevant fordbarn articles finding that it is not unusual. I fabricated a stud extractor to take out each of the four studs that were leaking. I took them out individually and purchased a high quality thread sealer recommended by a local supplier (Loctite product). I followed the instructions--let it sit for 24 hours. It worked-I have about 3K on the motor with no leaks. good luck with yours
