I know you asked about 39 , but here's the 1940 color. This doesn't seem like something Henry would change, but not sure. This was purchased from DRAKE in the 70's. I bet 39's are available too.

In fact, glove boxes were Bob Drake's first product.

I did a search of Drake's. They don't list anything for 1939 just 1940 and up. If you get a chance look at a 1940 to see if it differs. Or, measure yours and I will measure the one in my 1941 for you.

Thanks for that info.
I always though his locking gas cap was first.
In any case, despite some ups and downs, I am glad he decided to go into business.

FoMoCo seems to have used a lot of printed card board over the years. They usually had light colors with or without cross hatch lines printed on. Some may have been flocked like some other manufacturers but I don't know. Most were just stapled together. A lot of the folks that reproduce this stuff don't seem to care if it looks original or not. I guess they figure nobody looks in there or cares whether it looks original.

The 38/39 dash had a flatter front than the 40 did. If the opening is more square, one for a pickup might be adjusted to work a little easier. The little fasteners could be relocated. If Bob drake could make one then I figure anyone could if they got the right thickness of chip board.
