Also, what he is calling a '38 transmission would not have had the later brass ring synchronizers, hub, and collar that came out in '39. As always, the best source of info on these early Ford 3 speed transmissions is Mac VP and his book on this subject.

Well the pipe vice mount was a good idea. And you did get to look inside the trans without getting dirty. Even thought the information was sketchy.
