Ford Barn Find?
This is not strictly a 'barn find' as this is Flathead Ted's Auckland workshop! It could be a view from the 1930s! There are 2 34 sedans, a 35 coupe and a 34 roadster project. The 34 sedan on the right is an original 70,000 mile, original paint vehicle, a real time machine.

Re: Ford Barn Find?
Me too... the paint supplied to me from one of our old, long-standing suppliers does not look anything like the original green on my car. The new stuff is much too light, and looks like it might have too much yellow in it.

Re: Ford Barn Find?
Because they are right hand drive cars. New Zealand (where Ted lives) drives on the left and so does Australia. Regards, Kevin.

Re: Ford Barn Find?
I went to Flathead Teds website and looked at a video he uses to advertise and explain his floater brake system. The black 34 in the garage is the car in the video that he slides the wheels to show how well the brakes work. Looks to be a real nice car. I think the car is a standard as it has no cowl lights and only one horn. The interesting part is the horn is on the right side instead of the left as in the USA.

Frame saddle for trans mount, brake cross shaft assy, parking brake ratchet, throttle spoon, pedal assy, bat location, parts of floor, steering gear, pitman arm, drag link, both spindles, exhaust, dash, wiper, tail light (if std), horn (if std), some wiring, door lock location, probably some other stuff I'm not recalling.

Re: Ford Barn Find?
Interesting that in New Zealand ( and probably other RHD Countries as well ) the fuel line runs down the same side as the exhaust.
A real fire hazard I would of thought, but the authorities here have never said anything about it. Chris.NZ. |
