Default 59A Motor attaching a Tach

Can a tachometer be used on a 59A motor with the crab style dizzy?
If so, how is it set up?

Thanks

Yes, connect the red wire to your power source through a fuse, connect the black wire to a good known ground, and the green wire to the + side of the coil. If the tach is lighted, connect that wire into the parking lamp circuit. This is for a + ground system. For a - ground system, the green wire will connect to the - terminal of the coil.

Correction--- Use the headlamp circuit for the tach light.
