Default '31 Dlx Roadster Windshield Frame ID

I have 3 windshield frames. I am trying to figure out which of them is original (if any). Any help would be appreciated.

They have almost identical dimensions.

#1 & #3 have holes for finger pulls. #2 has none.

#1 & #2 have almost a round cross section. #3 is more of an oval.

If it's a deluxe roadster wind screen frame it is shorter [I think 13 inches high while mine is 15 inches high] than the non deluxe shown in the picture below and it is round on the bottom and it has two finger pulls. This is a non deluxe-B 40, top-o-frame. Not much help seen here. skip.

Skip, it looks as though your dash is black ?? Is it and are they supposed to be black?? Mine is the same blue as the rest of the car,, but,, I don't know if its correct.. I guess I should get a book that states the color combos.. Thats a nice shiny steering wheel,, there must be a trick to that..

My April 1931 40B has never been taken apart or completely restored and I have a high level of confidence that the windshield is original to the car. It has two finger pulls, measures 13.875 on its vertical outside dimension and appears to be very close to a circular cross section. Gar Williams

Deluxe is 13-1/2 inch high. [chrome] Standard is 15+ inches high [paint] all have finger pullers. to be sure orginial windshield frames are butt close on top L / R corners as repro's have a pie shape opening. # 1 looks to be a orginial [ most all chrome ones rust out in lower corners.]

The corner joints on original frames were electrically butt welded meaning there was no filler steel used in the welding process which rounds out the joint as seen in replacement/repro frames. As Pete said your #1 appears to be the real deal.
