Default New here

Hey everyone!

My name is John. I am 25 years old and I'm new to model a's. My uncle has 2 model a's (both 29's one is a phaeton and one a leather back) I currently have a 69 chevelle but am in the search for a 29 tudor. I belong to the east side a's model a club in southeast Michigan. I've learned alot about model a's from the club and reading posts on here. I hope to learn more and get an a soon.

Hey John, welcome to the Model A hobby. I think it's great to see younger people getting interested in these old Fords. Guys like yourself are the ones who will keep them on the road in the future.

There's a world of help and advice available here, so don't be shy about asking questions.

Hi John welcome to the Ford Barn. the only dumb questions ask are the you don't know and are afraid to ask. 29 thats a good year, I had 29 Town Sedan, 29 CCPU, 29 Tudor, 30 Tudor. By the time I turned 18 years of age. I now own a 1929 AA Closed Cab Pickup with a plateform bed on the back (My avator).

Glad to hear you are looking for your own Model A. I can tell you I have enjoyed them for many more years that I care to confess. Sounds like you uncle has a couple of nice ones, my phaeton is a 28 but I've really enjoyed it. Of course a sedan is much more comfortable in harsh weather. Hope to see you along the Model A highway soon.

John,

I made this page to help people locate Model 'A's to purchase. If a link is broken let me know and I will fix it. Good luck.

http://modelabasics.com/locatePurchase.htm

P.S. With your uncle having two Model 'A's, I am sure he could afford to give you the phaeton. Sometimes all you have to do is ask.

Thanks for the link and thank you all for the warm welcome. The Phaeton is my uncles pride and joy. I have been searching craigslist, the classified here and other A sites. Me and my feince both drove model a's for the first time a couple of weeks ago and loved it. So we are def hooked and its runs in my family (my uncle with his 2) so soon I know I will find the right A for me.

Welcome John, keep an eye on Ebay, they come up in your area from time to time. I found a nice 29 tudor near me (on Ebay) a few years ago. I just sold it last year.
