Default ID manifolds for 46-48 engine in 41

I think I have a later model flathead in my 41 Ford because it has the fan on the end of the crank. Can someone verify the year of my engine 46-48?

Here are the manifolds. Can someone tell me what year manifolds they are?

There should be a casting part # on each manifold.
It's probably where you can't see it without using a mirror or "rubbing" it using
pencil and paper.
Get that number and you will know for sure.

Looks like a 59 series engine with 37-41 exhaust manifolds to me. 41s should have the fan on the crank.

I agree. Could be a 1947 Ford engine like this one that was removed from a 41 Ford coupe last week. Post a photo of the distributor if possible.

Also, note the CHANGED direction of the anti-chatter rods as seen in your pics, as well as in this pic, and Jim's pic. DD

V8, You got me thinking I may be wrong. Because of the anti chatter rods perhaps my photo is of a 1941 engine. It was removed from a 41 Ford with those chatter rods.
Did any other Ford engines use those forward facing chatter rods?

Seems I remember the '41-'47s (at least), and most-likely the '48s, too. DD

That block is later than '41. The ports for the exhaust manifolds should be "extruded" about 1/4" on a '41 block.
