I remove the dash from my 32 coupe
I remove the dash from my 3 window coupe. A lot easier then I though. Here what at the top under the windowshild is what holds the dash to the body.

Re: I remove the dash from my 32 coupe
Ford had what they thought was a better idea in '33; six firewall-dash slot-head screws that are not to be unscrewed. Tool(s) necessary? Vice-Grip. How so? grip clamp the head on two or three of the six because you have to; i.e., twisting the head(s) off trying to 'unscrew'. Now, the heads being twisted off, do the other three which are . . . a little more compliant . . .
but, then, don't say, 'Hey! we're gittin' there; we're almost done!" until you are on the last screw on the last thread, . . . then you are almost done. And if you find yourself saying, "Oh, this one's comin' easier now . . ." beware, lest you get fooled agin, looking at the Vice-Grip with screwhead! |

Guys,
It is worth a trip to Waynesburg Pa. to see Ken's shop. Full tile floor, curtains on the windows, superb lighting and A/C and any tool you'd ever need. I'm fortunate to know Ken....Ol Redneck....Stewart. Charlie ny |

Ken's are homemade as they lack the raised area surrounding the screw hole that nests in the notches in the cowl as shown in your earlier photo in another thread, but will work regardless.

We ALL would be lost without the FordBarn. I am on it every day to read and learn. Tomorrow I am taking my dash and window frames to woodgrain.
