Default 21 stud -36/ head Identification

I have a 36/21 stud motor with the water pumps on the heads . The left head has B43 and the right head has B42 cast in the top of the head like the 59AB . Has anyone got a clue what these heads are off of ? My other 36 has ford on them . Thanks Jerry

Are the heads aluminum or cast iron? Neither should have the identification marks you mention. There were aftermarket companies making heads for the old Fords. The original passenger car heads were Aluminum and should have Ford cast into the top as well as other identification marks such as part numbers. 36 used a couple of different heads depending upon the engine pistons being domed or flat, early or late production.
