Default Installed New Carb

I just installed a “new” carb from Charlie Price’s Vintage Speed. I bought a Model 94 with the designation “59” on it. It fires right up but has a slight hesitation and occasionally “coughs” when throttling up. The accelerator pump is positioned in the forward hole and it “coughs” in all three hole locations. I also notice that going down a hill in second gear, it appears to be backfiring more than I remember, not single bangs, but rapid rumbles that I didn’t hear before I swapped it out.

Any ideas? Skip Haney recently rebuilt my diver’s helmet and sold me a coil.

Thanks.

Charlie Schwindler
5845 Cole Road
Orchard Park NY 14127

Charlie is "THE MAN". Put it in a box and send it post haste...I usually send a signed check and Charlie just lets me know how much when he is ready to send it back!!! It will be Plug & Play when you get it back.....My last one I sent him I didn't have to touch it once I bolted it on and hooked the fuel line up. Once It started I drove the car and never laid one finger on it...to this day!!!

I set up a wideband in a two gauge pod next to a vacuum gauge. I have the extension wiring and tail pipe clamp so I can move it to any vehicle. Funny thing, I almost never use it. Camshaft, carburetor, and distributor how Henry made it and it just works without lots more tinkering.
