Default Too often oil changes

I guess this has been talked about before on the "Barn". I need to ask some opinions again. My car was probably not driven more that 100 miles total last year. It has rested in a warm basement all winter and in the unlikely event that winter should possibly end before July 4th, I might like to take it out once again. Do I really need to change out that almost new oil ? (new oil and filter last year) Seems like a waste ?
