Default Value on 32 Tudor needing full resto?

I'm doing a brain check-up.
Saw this car on Ebay. Dusty old barn find that needs absolutely everything as described in his auction.

Starting bid is $35,000

I'm thinking that's about what the car is worth AFTER its fully restored.
Am I way off base?

Scott, That's an amazing car that needs nothing but a new owner! Anyone considering a restoration to that car should be shot. Are you way off base? Double the starting bid for that beauty!

You know on second thought Alan, maybe you're right!
So what if the engine is stuck, the fan rubbed thru the radiator and the upholstery is shot! I have half a mind to fly in and drive it home!

Then again, I'd have to have only half a mind to even consider it!

Not many around like this! A true survivor. Get it running, clean it up and be the envy at any car gathering!

IMHO the best way to approach this is to just do what's needed mechanically plus cover the seats and whatever else absolutley needs to be done. Leave the rest in it's original state.

This car is a fantastic example of a original unmolested car, it will only be this way once, unique. Once it's restored it'll just be another nice example of a restored '32'. Just like that one over there (pointing) and that one there, and that one, and that one...

About all I would do with the car is wash it and get it running. One of a kind.
Would never consider restoring it!

Okay, so don't restore it, just use it "as is" with the obvious fixes to get it road-worthy...

is it worth $35,000 as a starting bid?

I think that is missing a lot of expensive engine parts. The pan and the exhaust manifolds are later. That usually indicates a later block. I think the distributer and coil are later as well. The fuel pump is later and the manifold is cut. Just saying.

I wouldn't let a hose within a mile of that jewel. That "natural DIRT" has to add at least 10 BIG to the "originality" / barn-kept value. DD

Scott H. .........................
That looks like a great car !
But, I do think it's a bit overpriced. I'd love to have it, but not at 35K.

It's real simple...it's worth that if someone bids that for it and if noone does, then it's not, but the owner might think he'll keep it before he sells it for any less, if so then it's worth whatever he turns down to him.

Is it just me or are the pics kind of small. They only enlarge to about 5x5 on screen. Quality, crystal clear pics are a must, considering the opening bid. I would suggest professional digital photos, then see who has the deep pockets.

Very cool car, one of a kind to be sure.

Of course maybe the price is so high so it won't sell on ebay... notice he has his phone number in there....

Save your money ,buy a nice 30-31 Model A . Far as I am concerned that is all most 32's are, especially B models, expensive Model A's.
