Re: Whats your cars pet name ?
My 35 pickup is called Apatchy, because he is made out of patches. I couldn't find a 35 PI to restore, so I collected parts from different trucks/vehicles. 65 different vehicles make up the truck that never was. lol

Re: Whats your cars pet name ?
My 49's name is Kathie's klown. Needless to say my wife is Kathie, and you know what that makes me. Sweet running 286, (3 3/8 x 4), with three duces, 3 on the tree with OD. It can beat 49 chevys in second gear.

Re: Whats your cars pet name ?
My daughter picks the names;the '42 Tudor Sedan is Eleanor, the '30 Town Sedan is Ruby, the '31 Station Wagon is Woody, the '26 Touring Car is Bessie, the '42 Jeep is Sarge. But the others she refuses to give names; the '29 Roadster is just the Roadster, the '30 AA is just the big truck, the '30 Pickup is just the Pickup.

Re: Whats your cars pet name ?
My 28 Model A roadster is named "Patsy" after my sister who passed away in 2002.
The 37 Ford coupe is known as "The 37". I know, not very creative, huh? The 29 Fordor is called "The Green Car". Guess what color it is? |

Re: Whats your cars pet name ?
McShoe is the name of my 50 ford coupe. After the McCollough super charged 292 Y Block and the Shoe Box Body Style. My flat motors are in a 38 pickup, Blue Cyclone, after the song, and a yet to be named roadster Dearborn Duece.
Others are Yellow Peril, a 52 Sedan Delivery that provided the flat motor for the Dearborn in exchange for A 392 SBF, Green Wennie , a 52 Ranch undergoing a 406 FE C6 Gear vendors transplant, and Maybelene a 56 Sunliner with a Hot rod 3 duce 292 Y block and Overdrive 3 on the tree. Sorry, I have not yet learned pictures. |

Re: Whats your cars pet name ?
For names, I put vanity license plates on our cars, for example, the '39 CS plate reads 39 TUB however, lately I've been referring to her as the "Bailing Wire @ Duct Tape Special"... Another "Barner" stated that I keep my cars running with bailing wire... I've taken that comment (that I'm sure was meant to be derogatory) as a complement to my ingenuity...
You know what they say... If you can't fix it with Duct Tape, you're not using enough Duct Tape!

Re: Whats your cars pet name ?
We didn't come up with the name until after seeing the paint job. He now is named Merlot. Our other car is called "Dagmar and it's mainly because of the headlights.
Dagmar interrupted the Merlot restoration to get a new camshaft, and is heading down our hill to the garage. A tow job returns the cars to the road. Byron.

Re: Whats your cars pet name ?
I didn't really have a name for my '35 fordor sedan until last year while attending the Florida Barners Bash. A lady at our hotel was admiring my car and we probably talked for 30 minutes before she asked me what is its name? I told her I really didn't have a name except sometimes I called her 'Baby'. Like come on BABY please start. Or whoa there BABY while standing on the brake peddle hoping to stop. (Mechanical brakes don't cha know) She said that car is definitely an 'Olivia'. So, since then, that has become her name. Now my wife probably thinks Olivia was one of my old girl friends from the past.

Re: Whats your cars pet name ?
We call our jointly owned (VeryTangled and me) '36 Phaeton the "Prom Queen".
Seems like we get endless amounts of compliments on it. Not meaning to sound big-headed, but everybody has a nice word for the car. Especially the Washington blue color. Henry and Jeff |
