53 Vicky rear end gear ratio

Anyone know what the stock rear end gear ratio was in '53 with a Fordomatic trans? Thanks

I can't find any ratio info in the '49-'51/'52-'53/'54 shop manuals I have, but the '49-'51 parts book, along with '56 shop manual info show several auto ratios available, ranging from 3:22/3:31 standard, to 3:54/3:55 optional, depending on whether the rear is a Ford drop-out (standard pass car) or a Dana (police interceptor/station wagon/T-bird).

Jack up only one rear wheel and mark tire and mark drive shaft now turn the tire two full turns and count the turns of drive shaft and if it turns 3 & 1/5 turns it is a 3:50 gear if it turns 3 times it is a 3:00 gear etc.works every time. Make sure on one tire turns!

Maybe I'm thinking of a different axle but seemed to me the ratio was stamped into the rear axle housing? My book for the 53 Mercomatic equipped cars specifies a 3.3 standard rear axle ratio with a 3.54 as optional.

Deuce, Stock '53 rear ends for the Vicky with Fordomatic was 3.31 and 3:54 optional.
43/13 for 3:31 stamped on the bottom of the carrier assembly. Don

Heres a picture of the axle stamped numbers on my 52 Merc. Not so clear in the photo but I read it as 3.31. Right side axle on the back side.

I'm sure you probably have a V8 in the Victoria, but the axle ratios were different with the 6 cyl.

Victorias only came with V8's
