Default Tudor/ Deluxe Delivery Seat Cups, Plated or Black

Were the seat cups on the 28-29 tudor sedans and deluxe delivery cad plated or painted black? Looked in the JS and did not find the info where I thought it would be. Likely I overlooked it or looked in the wrong place. Thanks Rod

The ones on my Feb./March 1929 Tudor are painted black along with the other metal parts related to the bottom of the seat.

Now the two large screws holding the cups might be a different story...mine are unfinished BUT that does not mean anything as the paint may have worn off.

It I can remove them without damaging them I will look to see. Likely they were unfinished, but were painted as part of the assembly process (painted seat assemblies before upholstry). I could be wrong also. Will look in the hardware section of the 31 parts book and see. Rod I would look in the 29 parts book if I had one. I know someone was planning to reproduce some of the earlier books at one time, but I do not know if it ever got past the planning stage. Rod

BTW, I'm not sure of the change date, but the nice original mid 1928 Tudor in our club has a bar across the rear, rather than 2 cups.

Thanks Tom, I would bet it was a late 28 change. The Deluxe Delivery is an April of 29 engine date and firewall date. If I find something contrary to that then I will have yet another part to look for. Pretty short list of stuff for it being a pieced together vehicle. Rod
