Default French Ford Owners Manuals

I thought I would share pics of the copies I have collected over the years here in France. Most older French folks throw nothing away and that these survived WWII is amazing. I am missing the '32 4cyl and will find one eventually. Notice the dlx sunvisors on inside pic of the 4 cyl manual. Perhaps Pete or Trevor can enlarge them more.

Thanks for sharing part of your collection. It's great to know that some of these manuals still survive today. It's hard to know what to look for if you don't know what existed in the day.

I was surprised that they were left hand drive. Were there manuals in RHD?

France is a LHD country and always has been TMK.RHD vehicles are in Europe are UK,Ireland,Cyprus and Malta. Their manuals would correspond to RHD. I have yet to see one from Ford of the 1930's.In Europe ,Sweden switched to LHD from RHD in 1967.

Sheldon,

U.K. B and V8 manuals are shown on page 18-7 of the V8 Club's 1932 Ford book, as is the 1932 V8 manual of Ford Sweden. The Canadian RHD owners manual for fours is a later accession.

I'll add that to the next addendum to the book on the V8 Club's website.

I just found this rare one a couple weeks ago. Its the French 1932 Big Truck owners manual 4 & 8 cylinder. What I found unusual is that its in one volume (4&8 cyls) AND shows clearly the V8 . I wonder if any V8 '32 Big Trucks were sold in France tho the manual shows it was introduced. Here are a few pics.It appears the mechanic used this manual a lot as greasy fingerprints are evident.
