Default 40 rear drum on a 32 rear axel?

I recently bought a set of General jumbo wheels and wanted to try them on my stock 1932 sedan. The mounting surface is different so the wheels won’t match the drum. Will a 40 rear drum go on my stock 32 rear brake assembly?
Thanks in advance for any help.

The Jumbos don’t like the little nubs inside the studs? I thought General Jumbos were made especially for ‘35 and older Fords?

General Jumbo tires and wheels were first introduced in 1932. A company called Clev-Weld manufactured the wheels for General...

They seem to work on the fronts but those nubs on the rear won’t work.

'32 brake shoes are 1.5" wide.The 40's are 1.75 " so I don't think the drums will interchange.

I can’t understand why they would work on the front but not the rear. They’ve been used on the back of old Fords since new.

Looks like I goofed! They do fit after all. I was using an old drum to check the clearance, I guess it wasn’t a 32 drum😖 Thanks for all the advice.
Not sure about the tire gap 🤔🤔🤔

Reversed eye springs front and back, and a dropped axle up front would take care of some tire gap.
