Default checks

What are the check marks on the left side of the screen? And the slanted square things next to them?

There is a legend at the bottom that tells you what those marks mean.

I am not sure how the Old Barn looked or operated, but in this new format you will see a mark next to any thread that you have posted a reply to (AKA "subscribing" to a thread). That will help you fly right back to topics that you are interested in and then you may go back to browsing the board after you've checked in on your subscribed threads.

It sounds like a lot to remember but it will be nice once you get used to it. Plus - you can go to your own user control panel (click on your own screen name) and from there you can see every post you have ever made. Kind of nice. You can even do that for other posters as well by going to their profiles.
