30-31 Hood -Original
I am buying a 30-31 hood from a guy who is making changes to a hot rod that he bought. The hood looks very nice and I have checked all the details given in the JS and compared to another hood that I have got. The only suspicious item I find is that the centre rod is hollow (a tube) -but of course this could have been changed in later years. Any suggestions on details by which to discriminate a good repro hood from a true original ?

Re: 30-31 Hood -Original
An original 31 hood will have a slight curve to the sides. Also look for the rivets on the top hinge. Most of the reproductions don't have them.
