Default Stone Guard Effect on Cooling

Does anyone know if a stone guard has any appreciable effect on cooling? I operate my 1930 Coupe at 6000 feet elevation and above in the summer and don't want to put one on if it is going to make it run significantly hotter. Thanks.

Without the stone guard, you have issues with the radiator fins getting bent by stones, hitting birds, etc. That issue is mute with a stone guard. I have one, love the thought of not worrying about a stone sailing through the radiator, plus they look great! Some of the purists will argue the looks great comment, but its my A and I get to decide. (:
